The wonderful Tipico Cahuita restaurant was founded in 1980 and owner Winston, locally born in Cahuita, is one of the old boys of the town. He is a familiar figure with regular clients frequenting the restaurant, as Winston is always in his restaurant, where he is keeping an eye out that all clients in his business are happy. Restaurant Tipico Cahuita's food is Afro-Caribbean, but Winston believes that food should taste of the basic ingredients, so his lobster with garlic really does taste of lobster; the garlic is present, but not dominating the great taste of lobster. In Tipico Cahuita you will find a wide variety of fish and seafood, from lobster, squid and octopus to whole fish like snapper. Locally sourced, fresh produce is Winston's secret of success and this is reflected in the many regulars who come to eat in his restaurant again and again.
